Tintagel Parish Council is calling a meeting to gauge opinion as to whether the Council should provide a level of visitor service provision and if so, what that provision could look like, following its closure of the visitor centre and retail element of the TVC building. The aim of the meeting is to ascertain a general consensus over what level of provision is deemed acceptable by Parishioners for the Parish Council to provide out of its existing precept funding.
As stated at the time of the closure of the visitor centre and retail element of the TVC building, the Council has always been keen to consult with Parishioners over this subject, especially in light of the Visitor Centre planned as part of English Heritage’s new development.
Please note, this is not a decision making meeting but a forward thinking discussion and legitimate forum to gain an understanding of individual opinions as to how funding could be used to support community initiatives as well as a provision of visitor services. The meeting will also only be focussed on this particular topic, with no other Council related business being discussed.
